A thief tends to think other people are going to try to steal from them. A cheater tends to think the other person is also cheating. A liar will tend to think everyone else is lying. A gossiper will tend to assume other people are also gossiping about them. Someone taking revenge will automatically assume that the other person is trying to do the same.

It works the other way too. Someone who is trustworthy and loyal will automatically assume other people are also trustworthy and loyal.

The wind blows our demons right back in our faces, and most people never see the correlation.
