I knew a woman once in Arizona who was a customer of mine. She had no arms, had 2 kids, and owned her own gym. She could lift her foot up, pull her wallet out of her purse, pull a credit card out, and swipe it through a card reader. And she drove her own car.
I built my business up by sacrificing about 20 months of my life to focused work. I had to start going to sleep earlier and earlier just so I wouldn’t be tempted to go out at night and had to turn my phone on silent just so I wouldn’t see all the texts and calls from my friends asking me to come to have fun… so that I could focus on my goals. It only took almost 2 years of true focus to make more money from 4am-9am than I did in my 9-5 day job, which I had to commute to. The 2 years of sacrifice were nothing compared to the last 10 years of working for myself. If I knew it only took 2 years of dedication when I was 14, I would have started at 14 instead of at 28.
1. Don’t respond to drama, ignore it.
2. Read books.
3. Find mentors who have the life or skills you want.
Don’t just pray for things to happen. Jesus didn’t say “pray and receive”, he said to pray, then seek, then knock, and you shall receive.
Most people stop at the praying part. Don’t be like them.
Work harder, but also work smarter.
